Chimera XVI
Chimera is a yearly soiree & publication of artists at Edinboro University. I was on the Chimera XVI promotion team, who planned the Soiree and designed all assets and collateral associated with it.

When coming up with our concept, we investigated the chimera itself and what a chimera is. A chimera is a fire-breathing female monster with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail. We wanted to deconstruct the chimera itself and took cues from that deconstruction in our more formal design elements. We took CYMK, the colors of printing, and separated them, and used multiply to create layers and dimensions to emulate the layering process a printer would use. We also deconstructed the idea of the poster and did what we called “wild posting”. We created main, secondary and tertiary posters that had varying levels of information and created poster collages all across campus that would grow as it became closer to the date of the jurying and the show itself. As a whole, the poster collages had all the information you needed. The poster collages ranged from just a few posters to up to 20 ft long.
